Nevada Northern Railway National Historic Museum, Ely, Nevada. Engines 40 and 93 are still in use pulling vintage excursion trains to and from this E Ely Nevada rail yard. This railway complex (Est. 1905) is said to be the best-preserved, least altered, and most complete main yard complex remaining from the steam railroad era. Due to it's remote location off the main line, it owes its authenticity to having largely escaped the modernization that took place in most rail complexes during the transition from steam to diesel in the 1950's.
