This image was shot in San Francisco's China Town. China Town is full of shops and stores selling all manner of Asian goods; markets with exotic produce, variety stores with vast array's of cameras, cell phones, CD's, DVD's, and more tourist souvenirs than one can imagine. In this chaos of shoulder to shoulder marketing, each owner is desperate to find places to showcase their goods so as to entice customers inside. This particular store, as do many others, display their merchandise above the street as well as in displays at street level. I found this image of brightly colored children's traditional Chinese clothes quite compelling. The bright colors, "cute-ness" of the children's size and the spacing of them on the line evokes a feeling of the time and place.

In the 19 40's, 50's and early 60's, espectially in the desert SW, cars were very prone to overheating.
